BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) has named Mikael Ek as its new managing director for the EMEA region.
Ek comes from American Express GBT’s meetings and events division where he was head of M&E in the Nordics. He has a varied background, including events agency management in multiple EMEA markets.
Other changes in the leadership team include Helen McCabe as the new managing director, UK. McCabe has been with BCD M&E for 28 years, and will now manage leaders in the UK from all lines of the business.
Geert Jan Jongeneel, who was previously chief financial officer and managing director EMEA, will continue to be global chief financial officer and focus on targeting new acquisitions.
