Messe Stuttgart extending its digital business

Messe Stuttgart is further extending its digital business and is implementing tailor-made studio solutions for real-time exchanges in the Internet for its customers, exhibitors, organisers and multipliers. In addition to normal physical meetings between suppliers and purchasers and organisers and participants that will still represent the core business in the trade fair and congress business.
Live meetings such as trade fairs, congresses and events will still be important even after the end of the corona crisis. Roland Bleinroth and Stefan Lohnert, the two Presidents of Messe Stuttgart, are convinced about this. „That’s because right now we are seeing how vitally important personal meetings and direct exchanges are;“ said Bleinroth. However, events should be supplemented by other digital formats not only on account of the current pandemic, but also due to increasing digitalisation. For example, as far as the use of online media, streaming services or live broadcasts of forum events and brand showrooms is concerned. According to Bleinroth, this also includes live streams of conferences, interactive master classes or deep dives. „The sessions can also be downloaded afterwards as videos-on-demand if so desired by customers.“
„Exhibitors and organisers can make use of three fully equipped streaming studios on the trade fair grounds for differently-sized groups of participants and various occasions,“ added Lohnert. Irrespective of whether they are planning a live stream, a recording, a podium discussion, a digital seminar or a product presentation. „We can offer them the perfect setting for every format and will provide assistance from planning through to transmission.“ Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the platform will be created for a digital experience and, on request, even an interactive experience since „every studio can be supplemented by an interaction tool.“ For example, customers could immediately address questions from the participants, create surveys and live chats or simply hold technical discussions. „Smooth networking, separated from general trade fair operations, is therefore guaranteed,“ said Lohnert.
„Together with our long-standing service partner Neumann&Müller Veranstaltungstechnik, we were able very quickly to create highly attractive packages for our customers. These packages offer a great deal of scope for individual requirements,“ said Bleinroth describing the new service. Due to the favourable local conditions of Messe Stuttgart, personal ideas can easily be implemented and hybrid events can be staged on both a small and a large scale. „Whether in a congress hall or in an exhibition hall with an area of 25,000 square metres, there are no limits here to the possible applications,“ added Lohnert. The new service already proved popular straight after its announcement.
