Holding trade fairs and congresses in Cologne has been generally permitted once again for some weeks now. However, the current situation still holds quite a few uncertainties for planning events.
For this reason, the Cologne Convention Bureau (CCB) has put together a guide in German and English to support event planners and enable them to be clear about what is involved in organizing their event in Cologne. This guide translates the aspects covered in the Order regarding protection against new cases of infection with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia into a clearly defined checklist. This makes it possible to create the required hygiene and infection prevention concept. In addition, the CCB provides a form template so that organizers can satisfy the corresponding safety and hygiene requirements.
According to a current study, the Cologne meeting market’s total turnover (from consumption) in Germany amounts to EUR 1.3 billion annually. EUR 720.1 million remain in Cologne.
